I learned about this first really experientially in India and Nepal in 1985 and 1986. It was explained to me then how the Old School way (this includes both Jesus and Buddha in their times by the way) was to simply be physically near to a master like Jesus or Buddha so you could have their attainments flow into your aura. By doing this it went to you and to everyone you knew and walked by the rest of your life (if you were open to doing God's Work in your life). And this didn't end with you it extended to everyone you met or saw or came near sometimes within miles or hundreds of miles in your life. And often this then extended out to thousands and then to millions of others who were ready to receive this blessing (or in India it is called "Darshan" or "Infinite spiritual blessings".
So, the whole point is and was to be near beings with attainment and to receive automatically by being near them the attainment of thousands of enlightened masters for hundreds of thousands of years. It is automatically passed into your auras when you are near beings who have been supremely blessed by attainments in their lives. you usually know (if you are intuitive at all) who these beings are when you see or meet them worldwide.
