Pneumonia upsurge?
My family's experience I have chronicled above. My wife has not been diagnosed with pneumonia. However, as I wrote in this previous blog, her doctor was concerned on Thursday about this because she said she had seen so many cases of either viral or bacterial pneumonia come through her office in the last month. So, I suppose this could be a mini-pneumonia epidemic in the greater San Francisco area. It just makes it much more important if you are getting a bad cold or flu now to see a doctor and to get on anti-biotics like zithromax if prescribed by your doctor which is a wide spectum anti-biotic to prevent pneumonia or bronchitus or other serious lung ailments.
