I just thought it might be helpful to print out here the different offers of both parties:
Taxes
GOP plan: (as of Monday) 800 Billion tax plan by closing loopholes and deductions
White House Plan: 1.6 Trillion by closing loopholes and raising taxes.
entitlement reform:
GOP Plan: saving 600 billion by raising Medicare eligibility to 67
White House Plan: 350 billion from entitlement reform
Social Security:
GOP Plan: saving 250 Billion by changing payment calculation
White House Plan: Not addressed
At this present rate having this resolved before January 1st is questionable.
All facts from NBC Nightly News last Monday.
