First Thyroid Cancer Victim from Fukushima I have heard about

What is interesting to me is that this is an American Lady who was teaching English in Japan in 2011 when the Earthquake and Tsunami happened. I think she was working within 200 to 300 miles of Fukushima. She is an American and had her cancer removed recently here in the United States. So, if you are a newspaper person or researching this sort of thing it might be time to do a newspaper article either online, TV, or paper newspaper or all three regarding this subject to see how many thyroid cancer cases are being reported in the U.S. and Japan and other countries caused by the radiation leaks at Fukushima ongoing to now. The Japanese government said it will be working on this problem for the next 40 years. However, anyone pragmatic and realistic knows there likely will be no useful end to this problem at Fukushima for the next 25,000 years.

The reason for this is Chernobyl because it was land locked could be sort of contained by cement except for blowing winds, dust and radiation contamination of underground rivers and lakes after a certain point. However, this will not ever be possible with Fukushima because of its location near the ocean. So, Tuna and other migratory fish that eat local fish will be contaminated with radiation ongoing for the next 25,000 years at least because of the types of radiation that has a half life of at least 25,000 years there from the one reprocessing nuclear weapons materials which was one of the reactors there that melted down.
