ISIS gets a lot of attention with pure barbarism and the thousands of people they have killed, especially this last year in wiping out whole towns of people across Syria and Iraq. So, it makes sense that every country on earth has basically declared war on them for this reason as they are the opposite of civilization from any useful reference point.
However, Ebola, because of Russia, Assad, Iran, now ISIS, Ukraine, Crimea, has not been given the attention or money that it needed to be stopped in it's tracks. Now the CDC says that there actually could be around 1.4 million cases of Ebola by January.
And if you know anything about Pandemics (we simply must call this a Pandemic at this point) they tend to go all over the world eventually like the Flu in 1918 that killed 50 million worldwide then just after world war I.
So, unless enough time and money is spent on Ebola and the containment and prevention of it, it is eventually going to get loose from Africa and start infecting people other places too. And if it infects people in third world nations first in Asia and the Americas where there is little or no medical infrastructure there might be no way to actually stop Ebola before it decimates the population of the whole planet in 2nd and 3rd world nations.
IN first world nations, over time there will be vaccines create from the blood of the survivors of Ebola because the anti-bodies in the survivors blood can save others from dying of it. But, this isn't likely to help 3rd world nations which might see their populations decimated from Ebola if this thing isn't brought under control pretty fast, say by Christmas or January 2015.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
