- Iranian boats fire at oil tanker in Persian Gulf?

The attack on a commercial ship and interfering with oil traffic near the Gulf of Hormuz is why I believe we are in a similar type of position as when the Cuban Missile crisis occurred when I was 14 in 1962.
The problem this time is that the hostage is going to be oil and the hostage taker is at this point Iran.
But, the Iranians might be ending their agreement with the U.S. regarding nuclear weapons by doing this. So, the sanctions now might never be removed from Iran because of this.
This interference with commercial traffic is going to cost Iran dearly because the whole world won't stand for this and this likely is going to make Iran even more of an international pariah than it was before.
