People say, "Why has he changed his mind on so many things?"
That isn't what is going on. When he was running for president most of his people at his ralleys were ideological in their thinking. However, trump is more like a used car salesman telling people whatever they want to hear. He has no problem with that.
However, in the end Trump has NO ideology at all other than Pragmatism and getting away with whatever he wants to get away with. So, he has no problem saying whatever it takes to get his deals done.
He doesn't really believe in democracy. He doesn't really believe in a U.S. presidency. He doesn't believe in a Congress or Supreme court. He believes only in family and making more money and fame.
Anything that interferes with his family, making more money and fame he gets rid of like he has cast away the people who voted for him already. They are not useful to him now. What is useful now is keeping his 500 companies into his presidency to see how many billions he can make more being famous as a president of the United STates.
And I'm sure he is paying at least 100 lawyers to figure out how best to keep his companies without being impeached for all the many billions he will make from them more being president of the United States.
And if this eventually results in him being Emperor of the world that's okay with him too as long as he makes more money and can help his family too.
So, whatever makes him money and helps him to do whatever he wants to do or accomplish he is going to do.
So, don't be surprised at literally anything he does or say the next 4 years.
I think Democrats will be surprised at how Democratic he might be. The people likely to be the most disappointed in him might be the most rightest Republicans. Because that is never what he actually was. He is actually more like a Libertarian Democrat than anything else. But you would never really get that listening to him on the campaign trail.
