Milarepa (1052-1135 AD) and one of his experiences with Mt. Kailash

It is said that Milarepa (c. 1052 – c. 1135 AD), champion of Tantric Buddhism, arrived in Tibet to challenge Naro Bön-chung, champion of the Bön religion of Tibet. The two magicians engaged in a terrifying sorcerers' battle, but neither was able to gain a decisive advantage. Finally, it was agreed that whoever could reach the summit of Kailash most rapidly would be the victor. While Naro Bön-chung sat on a magic drum and soared up the slope, Milarepa's followers were dumbfounded to see him sitting still and meditating. Yet when Naro Bön-chung was nearly at the top, Milarepa suddenly moved into action and overtook him by riding on the rays of the Sun, thus winning the contest. He did, however, fling a handful of snow on to the top of a nearby mountain, since known as Bönri, bequeathing it to the Bönpo and thereby ensuring continued Bönpo connections with the region.[12][13][14]

  • 2.3 In Buddhism
  •
  • Though as an American you might think "Oh this is a fairy tale" but likely it's not. Let me tell you a true story I experience in late December 1985 in Bodhgaya, India with the Dalai Lama and 500,000 Tibetan Buddhists receiving the Kalachakra Tantra there.
  •
  • I was told that it was supposed to rain at the very end of the kalachakra Tantra which is a 4 day empowerment and initiation attended by mostly Tibetan Buddhists in native Dress (which was amazing by the way to see from Tibet, Nepal, Shri lanka, Bhutan, etc. and from all over the world.
  •
  • I thought to myself, "Oh Yeah, It's 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, dry like a desert now, and the air is brown without a cloud in the sky.
  •
  • But, at the appointed time it was supposed to rain in the Initiation a little cloud formed only above the attendees (500,000 of them) and it rained (only upon the attendees)
  •
  • "A Rain of Blessings" literally.
  •
  • Later I was in Dharamshala India and talking with a Tibetan Buddhist Monk. I asked him about the cloud and the rain. He said, "You see that guy over there dressed all in white robes with long white hair and beard?" I said, "Yes."
  • My friend said, "It was him who did that. Also if it is raining all by itself he can also make the rain fall somewhere else than on the group getting an initiation too."
  •
  • It was at that moment when I really realized the spiritual technologies regarding Tibetan Buddhism is real.
  •
  • However, Tibetan lamas are nothing if they aren't polite. They don't want you to faint when you realize just how powerful what they do is. So, they usually won't talk about something like this unless you are a developed practitioner. They just don't want people to freak out and faint because of things beyond their comprehension.
  •
  • However, in India and Nepal and Tibet spirituality is a technology. To not understand this is to be an ignorant American regarding Spiritual technology.
  •
  • If you watch Dr STrange the movie there is more truth than fiction in this movie. At least the movie will help you to ferret out the real truths here.
  •
  • However, you may or may not be ready for the full truth of all this. Just because you might be mentally ready for something like this doesn't necessarily mean you are emotionally or physically ready for the truth.
  •
  • You can be mentally ready and still faint when the truth hits you strongly enough.
  •
  • So, be careful what you ask for regarding truth.
  •
  • What you don't know can hurt you regarding spiritual technology
  •
  • And most people are children regarding things like this.
  •
  • So, be careful.
  •
  • By God's Grace
