Everywhere now on earth where Zero population growth is not practiced through birth control now you are going to see this cycle in action. It is awful but also inevitable.
Where there is no birth control there is overpopulation (not having enough water or tillable land locally to feed or water the people). Then genocide begins when there is not enough jobs to marry and have more kids (which would also cause more overpopulation).
When people are not educated to realize there are only so many resources that are not infinite the Overpopulation Genocide infinite cycle is going to happen.
Syria and Iraq and Yemen are the most pressing examples of all this on earth. However, this could spread among the ignorant and uneducated worldwide. For example, the demonitization of India may be a way for the government of India to cause their ignorant poor to just starve to death or commit suicide who aren't educated to practice birth control. So, we are seeing the uneducated done away with around the world one way or another.
What we are seeing in Syria and Iraq is the most horrific even though what we are seeing in India might be the new norm for governments not on the verge of collapse in regard to their most poor and uneducated.
