Trump could be a president as good as Reagan

However, it is unlikely the world is going to let him be this president. It is more likely he will be very frustrated like Bush II and Obama in many ways. Being a president is not something Trump will take to easily. His personality is more like a dictator who can get done anything he wants to.

So, unless he has people around him advising him about the rules and regulations to keep him honest with himself and the nation this could be very problematic for him. He will have no problem in delegating authority so he won't have the problems Carter had who could not delegate authority well.

Trump's system of loyalty though might be more useful than not for him as long as he doesn't try to destroy people he doesn't feel are as loyal as he wants them to be. This on a world stage would only be suicidal eventually sort of like what happened to Saddam Hussein and Qaddhafi eventually so seeking revenge on a personal basis will be completely unproductive as president of the United States.

What will be important will be for Trump to see ALL the people (including those presently demonstrating against him as being like his own children and grandchildren. And like his children and grandchildren they need his understanding and guidance more than they need him to punish them.

So, I think if Trump is inaugurated and chosen by the Electoral college this is what he actually is going to face pretty much as president.
