2000 calls for emergency rescue so far in Houston

Yes. The way this looks it is as bad or worse than Hurricane Katrina either getting there or possibly even worse the way this is going. I heard a lady who was asleep who woke up to screaming from neighbors. She has lost everything, including all her clothes and shoes. So, she is walking barefoot because she had to run to get out of the flooding where she was. This likely will be multiplied 1000s of times over the next few days. People who can't walk or swim might be in for it at this point.

2000 plus people rescued so far in Houston. Buffalo Bayou is now overflowing into surrounding areas. A Man on a bicycle has ridden is bike up to his waist and finally had to get off and push the bike because the resistance just got too much. As he was being interviewed the level was at least up to everyone's thighs at this point. This is just going to get worse and worse. Buffalo Bayou is expected to reach 35 feet which it hasn't reached since 1935.

IF you go to your attic take and axe to break through to the roof so you don't drown. It's better to go to your roof off a ladder.

National Weather Service: "Epic Catastrophic Situation" Rainfall amounts can now reach 5 feet by Friday.

There is no end in sight so be prepared if you are in East Texas or Louisiana. Better have a boat or a ladder to get up onto your roof one or the other or an axe to get up through your attic to the roof. But, I'm thinking the way this is going find a tall tree to climb or a boat to tie to that tree with non-perishable foods and potable water on board your boat. Hopefully you have an engine on your boat because you might have to go miles to higher dry land on your boat.

I'm concerned many won't be rescued and will drown because there won't be enough people to rescue them. So, prepare to save yourselves or you might not survive this. Think Noah's Ark!
