It's raining hard in Northern California

The rain woke me up earlier than normal this morning. For us, here in California any rain at all right now is a good thing so we have enough water to make it through to the next rainy season from about August to October of this year in our reservoirs and lakes. This is a much warmer storm so it likely might melt some of the lower snow in the Sierras which isn't a good thing for water long term or for skiers at lower altitudes. But still the rain should be a good thing overall for the state.

Most of Southern California is in a much more serious drought emergency whereas most of Northern California only will have to be careful with it's water reserves the rest of this year.
