Some of the heaviest rain bands are hitting between Santa Maria and Santa Barbara so mudslides could happen
I'm watching rain bands that are yellow, orange and even red hitting in the coastal range of mountains above Santa Barbara which could again trigger mudslides there this time. Though it hasn't happened since January when I think 23 people died between 2 and 4 am while they were asleep then I think evacuating people so they don't die while asleep is a very good idea anywhere there are burn areas in Southern California where this storm is presently hitting. IF you are below a rain band hitting hard where you are you could even think about moving to a hotel or a friend's house for the night yourself if you are below a burn area in southern California while the rains come down hard where you are. Better safe than dead in your sleep between 2 and 4 am like before.
