37 degrees Fahrenheit in Pasadena Tonight
Not sure how cold it was in Pasadena last night. Today was the Rose Parade which is a very interesting experience for anyone who has watched it live there or who has been in the parade. my only experience actually being there for it was 1960 when my cousin played the Glockenspiel (bells) for the Glendale Dynamiters High School Band then. I was 12 years old and the traffic getting to there and back to Glendale (two towns away) was terrible. So, I think we drove there about midnight or 1 am in order to see the parade and also because my cousin's high school band was playing in the parade. It was very cold for then too likely not more than 40 to 45 degrees but many of the people are from much colder areas like East of Nevada all the way to the east coast or from other countries so some of them are adapted to much colder weather than locals. So, watching everyone prepare for the parade and being cold sometimes with not enough jackets and stuff to make it to morning. But, about sunrise or just after the Parade usually begins around 8 am and from then on it's pretty amazing too.
