Trump saying he is going to keep the government shut for years is sort of like the little boy who says "I won't let you play with my football unless you make me captain of the team". But, either way it is like a 4 year old child treating real people's lives like they have no meaning who work for the government.
But, it's probably no different than how Putin is blackmailing Trump.
