You can approach it with the needs of the government employees to be able to pay their bills because most of them live paycheck to paycheck. But, Trump doesn't care about them obviously. They are just suffering pawns in his long game of "Destroying our government's capacity to function at all."
This is just more evidence that he is being blackmailed by Putin. This is just one more piece of evidence that Trump is an enemy of the people of the United States. This is the behavior of a blackmailed traitor to the American people. That he hasn't already fallen on his sword like a good patriot should in this situation just tells you Trump is selfish beyond any president in my lifetime. And I'm 70 years old.
