For me, looking at the world around me, it isn't a question of IF we are due for a recession or Great Depression caused by Trump (Potentially worldwide worse than the one in the 1930s) it is ONLY a question of how soon it will begin because of what Trump is presently doing.
I presently see no reason why there won't be a recession looking at the way things are right now with 800,000 government workers not working or not getting paid for working. (Actually I'm not sure what is worse (working and not getting paid for it) or not working and not making any money at all and not allowed to get another full time job to stay alive.
I see Trump as someone who is in some ways exactly like Herbert Hoover who also thought the government could be run like a business and brought on the last Great Depression because he was completely wrong headed like Trump. He was unrealistic about what the U.S. government is.
It is not a business at all. I suppose you could call it a cooperative within a democracy if you wanted to but it is definitely not run like a business. Only a business can be run like a business.
Because of this Trump like Hoover likely will bring on either an all out depression or a recession very very soon (within 2 to 3 years time).
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
