That’s a wrap from another chaotic day in Trump’s Washington. To recap:
- The US government remains in a partial shutdown.
- A meeting between Trump and congressional leaders failed to produce a breakthrough.
- A Democratic congresswoman is under fire for saying her party will “impeach the motherfucker” in reference to Trump.
- In a rambling appearance outside the White House, Trump insisted Mexico is paying for the wall – while still demanding Congress pay for it; said he could declare a national emergency and build the wall himself – while still demanding Congress approve it; and claimed a president can’t be impeached if he’s doing “a great job”.
Feeling a tad bit exhausted? So are we ... have a great weekend, folks, and tune in again next week!

Yes. The U.S. right now is very insane and polarized in various ways right now.In other countries bloodshed would have already have begun at this level of polarization. But, on the other side of this there is a rawness to us that speaks sometimes a clearer truth. We aren't always polite. There are still signs of the Cowboys carrying 6 guns (6 shot revolver hand guns in a holster) around town we were not too long ago. This wildness is looked on sometimes with worry around the world. It worries us Americans too but likely in a somewhat different way than it does others. A Congresswoman, (Any Congress woman) saying "We are going to impeach the mother f----r" would be unheard of 1 year ago. However, A Congresswoman dancing into the House of Representatives would have been unheard of 1 year ago too. But, also a tape of Trump saying he rapes women and grabs strange women's pubic areas regularly and has always gotten away with this would have prevented his election any year before now too.
So, it's all getting wilder and crazier in new ways. But, somehow it's who we have become. Is this good or bad? It's obviously both. What comes next?
That's the rub both for us and everyone else on earth. We don't know where it is going next.
