Ex Machina(2014)

Ex Machina(2014) could only usefully be called a Horror movie. But, it is a very interesting point of view it shows. It imagines a female robot that is a survivor that a man creates who is rich and what happens next. Could it happen like this?

I don't think so for a variety of reasons. However,  Westworld on HBO is more realistic on a variety of fronts also exploring a lot of this same premise where they build a sort of Disneyland for adults that reminds me a little of the Versailles palace in France also for adults built by Louis the 14 and 15th and used also by Louis the 16th until he was beheaded along with his wife Marie Antoinette.

So, in some ways watching Westworld is exploring some of the potential Disneyland kind of problems that could come from an adult version of Westworld actually existing somewhere on earth.

Will something like this actually happen? That's hard to say because of liability insurance in the U.S. However, in another country with less strong liability laws it could happen like maybe in Europe or Africa or Asia like in China. In China you could actually build a Westworld. I could actually see this happening at some point in this century or the next in China. And Americans and Japanese people and European people and rich Chinese who were wealthy enough going to these places for entertainment or vacations.

However, when one buys a Ski pass or ticket to ride ski lifts without seat belts like here in the U.S. and then ski down all kinds of icy slopes one usually is required to sign a liability waiver. So, I guess if guests of a real Westworld all signed the same type of liability waivers you sign at ski lifts then likely you could actually built a Westworld here in the U.S. and have that be profitable and also an amazing research facility for building biological robots something like maybe Terminator made of metal but with actual flesh and eyes and hair and fingernails and real genitals. They likely could be made with titanium limbs and frame and spine as well with actual flesh covering all that could be grown so they would look at least from the outside exactly like human beings. Sometimes I think that we have secret agents (very likely) here in the U.S. and abroad that are not human but actually robots pretending to be human that are like this already that are already flesh covered titanium frames. They could be people that don't speak much and maybe do more menial jobs like with military actions of various kinds.
