I was with my older daughter and she was looking for sea shells washed in on the storms during the biggest storms. I decided I was tired of running from "rogue Waves" that are much larger than normal during a storm and so was about 6 feet higher in elevation than the beach. But still, because I wasn't looking I heard my daughter yell to watch out! and sure enough this one rogue wave not only went up 6 feet it went about 9 feet total above the beach and got me on a large rock. Luckily, it only came up to my knees or a little above so I wasn't washed away. My daughter ran far enough away so wasn't hit at all but because of my location on top of a rock I couldn't run away. Luckily, I rode out the wave and didn't get washed away!
So, be careful today on the northern Coast of California. and if you are within striking distance of any wave NEVER take your eyes off the surf forming in front of you. Don't turn your back on the ocean when you are close to it today so you aren't washed out to sea on a sleeper or rogue wave.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
