In astral projection your whole soul leaves the body, in bi-location you are still conscious to a greater or lesser degree in your body but you are also somewhere else at the same time in consciousness.
Once you experience this often a paradigm shift occurs because you realize the soul is separate from the body so you also realize that if your body dies you do not die too because you are an immortal soul that is resident in this body but not really the body.
A body is like a car we drive around in on earth with. This is the best way I can put this.
But, if the car is destroyed, we are not destroyed we go do something else.
But, scientifically experiencing this one no longer fears death or feels trapped in their physical body anymore.
So, at this point you have undergone a paradigm shift because you no longer have the fear of death you once had as a human being.
