For example, Iran black market oil will become more and more in demand by nations around the world because it will cost less than oil from other countries. Russia gains from Iran not being able to sell oil "above the table" because it raises oil prices worldwide along with Russian Oil which is at least 50 percent or more what Runs not only the Russian Government but also all their social programs. So, the lower the price for oil the more Russian people starve who are poor.
Also, by encouraging a "Black market" for oil it becomes sort of like "Oil prohibition" and if you study what happened in the U.S. during prohibition you begin to see how many people died directly or indirectly because of prohibition. Likewise, oil sanctions against Iran I think are going to prove counter productive and cost many lives as well in various ways.
Also, Terrorism fostered by Iran likely will increase many fold during this time because (what have they got to lose with Trump causing them so many problems?
Also, developing nuclear weapons is an advantage right now for Iran because the U.S. could potentially attack them and if they threaten nuclear retaliation towards Israel, Saudi Arabia or U.S. bases in the middle east or Europe it is greatly going to change the dynamics here as well.
So, Trump's position likely is going to make things much worse and not better with the present strategy is he using.
So, Trump's only recourse is to have a war with Iran around October 2020 in order to scare the hell out of Americans into voting him back into office because traditionally Americans vote the same president in when we are at war. Check out FDR and then Truman when FDR died in office and then Bush being re-elected after 9-11 for a 2nd time as well.
