If you have ever walked across the desert even in Southern California at over 100 degrees you really have to be in excellent health to survive this. Better bring a lot of water too and a hat and sunscreen if you are a city person because often there are no stores or gas stations for up to 50 miles at a time there. Or you can be happy in Furnace Creek walking around this time of year in Death Valley which is even closer to Area 51:
