This is a given at this point by everything he is presently doing. Iran is being blackmailed by Trump into being his election hole in one. But, the price is thousands presently starving to death in Iran from the economic sanctions he is presently imposing on that country. It will also inevitably cause thousands of deaths of U.S. military personnel in his strategy for winning the presidency. Why?
Because traditionally Americans don't change presidents in the middle of a war. It's really this simple.
For examples look at Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Bush 2 after 9-11 for good examples of this in action. This is Trump's real strategy to save his ass on the deaths of thousands of Americans and Iranians. And the poorest Iranians that likely don't support the Iranian regime are the ones dying now already from starvation.
Trump's election strategy is based upon the deaths of Iranians and American Military personnel.
