There are basically two ways to look at the coming potential human extinction later this century.
One way is to celebrate while you can.
But, there is also another way which is to dedicate your lives to ending and changing global warming for the benefit of all your children and grandchildren.
Mobilizing your resources in such a way that you can maximize your impacts upon ending global warming is one way retired people can make a difference. So, if you can "have fun" changing the world and your world in such a way that helps others and reduces them dying in wind Storms of winds 300 mph or more around the world from increased global heating this might be good.
If you have noticed now, every year some islands (this year the Bahamas) are completely wiped from the map for a year or two or some permanently from increasing wind speeds in storms to the point where literally every tree and blade of grass is gone at the end of the storm and up to 80 to 90% of houses are literally blown apart too.
How does the human race address these kinds of problems? Unknown. Because this tends to be a very personal thing for people to cope with (especially among those who those islands called home for 10 to 100 years or more).
