Erdogan is a dictator. This is pretty obvious. He designed his own coup and then killed all the people he wanted to and then put a lot of them into prison in Turkey. He's a dictator. That's all. Now he played (or bribed) Trump to abandon the Kurds and is threatening European nations if they bother about what he is doing to the Kurds of sending millions more Sunni Refugees from Syria and Iraq that now are in Turkey into Europe. So, Europe is between a rock and a hard place regarding all this too but not as bad a place as the Kurds.
Trump has betrayed our Kurdish Allies and as a direct result it is likely that ISIS will again emerge. Why?
Because prisoners are likely to escape from ISIS prison camps run by the Kurds as they have to escape from the Turkish Army. Also, Turkey isn't totally against ISIS only partially. They don't like the ISIS point of view of getting rid of Erdogan and the Turkish Army (But) Erdogan does like the ISIS point of view of getting rid of Assad in Syria and the government in Iran.
So, it is in some of Turkey's interests to see ISIS intact and growing and killing Assad and his troops and the Iranian Leadership and their troops. So, watch for this in the future of Turkey liberating many ISIS Troops to do exactly this but only within Syria and Iraq, not in Turkey.
But, how can ANY U.S. Ally ever trust us again because of what we have done to the Kurds who helped us eliminate ISIS?
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
