Padmasambhava was a mahasiddha who brought Buddhism from Nalanda University in Bihar province in India to Tibet and King Trisong Detsun around 700 to 800 AD. Eventually, Nalanda was destroyed as well as it's library as Islam came to India eventually but Buddhism melded with the local Bon Po religions and stayed in Tibet until the Chinese invaded in the 1950s and eventually drove the Dalai lama out while he was being strafed with machine gun fire from Chinese Aircraft during his escape to India.
Padmasambhava means literally "Lotus Born" and he is supposed to come from a land called Orygen. So, some Tibetan lamas realizing the closest place of that name would be Oregon in between Washington and California, but also before this Oregon Territory included both Washington and Oregon. So, some Tibetan Lamas in the 1960s through the 1980s and beyond came to Oregon (especially Nyingma Lamas) because they felt that this was where Padmasambhava might have come from.
My thought is that Padmasambhava being a Mahasiddha likely would have the natural ability of Time travel which is one of the potential siddhis of a Mahasiddha to begin with where you can manifest a body in literally any space or time you wish because of your developed abilities. Though this might start with a form of soul travel it eventually results in physically being able to do this as well.
By God's Grace
Sai Baba and other Indian masters were known to have this ability too. Many likely still have this ability today.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
