What they have found is that 50% of the people that they test (a large number of their population) is not sick but carrying the virus.
This has ramifications worldwide in that this could literally be true of most western nations right now including the U.S. that 50% of people could be carriers but not sick.
This could also be true of all or most Latin American nations soon too as the virus spreads from places like Ecuador and Mexico South.
Therefore wearing a mask and social distancing of at least 6 feet is very very important to reduce the loss of life in all cultures around the world.
