Because it takes 3 to 4 weeks for most people to go through all the stages of death with Coronavirus.
Yes. It's true some people are dead in 24 hours like the gentleman in Siskiyou County California and never see a doctor or hospital at all but most people take a long time of feeling sick then feeling okay and feeling sick and feeling okay before they die. So, on average this death on February 6th in Santa Clara County which is near to San Francisco means that coronavirus was killing people in the U.S. and came here at least the first week or two in January at the latest. Other studies have shown the first cases arose here on the west Coast as early as mid December but haven't been proven by autopsies yet.
The original case the Chinese authorities have found in Wuhan China was in November 17th 2019 in what they call Patient Zero.
