My wife coined this term "Quarantine Stress" because I hadn't heard it before

I had been calling it PTSD but she has a friend who is a psychiatrist who treats people with PTSD. So, she wanted me to be more efficient in the use of the word than I tend to be.

So, I think her term Quarantine Stress that people are experiencing all over the world might be the best one I've heard so far. It reminds me of "Battle Fatigue" which was a word used in World War II for PTSD before they called it PTSD. But, Quarantine stress is something we are all dealing with right now.

I think it's important to realize that we are all protecting our civilization through quarantining ourselves to our homes worldwide. But, what comes next we will have to see day by day.

I think the two things that people are going to have to deal with the most from all this is temporary agoraphobia and possibly alcoholism is another direction some people go in this kind of situation.
Workaholics often can find ways to work from home depending upon their business but some people aren't used to spending this much time either alone or with their families and this could be stressful for some people too.

Each of us are having to live with ourselves in possibly a way we haven't had to in some time or ever in our lives. So, maybe the best way to see this is that it's a learning experience for all of us.

This might be the most healthy way forward in dealing with all this.

So, maybe self Quarantining to protect our civilization would be the best way to say this for all of us.
