Got a new IPad for christmas 2019

My wife and I mostly use my older smaller IPad for playing solitaire while watching movies. We often trade off between us. But, my son and my wife thought getting a big IPad with a built in keyboard is what I should get next. I didn’t necessarily think this was a good idea simply because I had tried this before and it didn’t work out very well so I gave it up back in 2012 I believe or around then. So, today I thought I would try again blogging on this new IPad I got at Christmas.

Then when I was visiting Santa Barbara with some of my kids and my wife I think my cord got put in the wrong place so I didn’t have a cord. This became a problem because the new IPads don’t use the same cords as the old ones and in fact have moved over to what my older daughter calls (a USB-C) cord. The outlets in most of your cars are what is called a USB-A outlet to charge your phone or device or to send data to your speakers in your car. So, the USB-C cord is entirely different. This was all news to me and I had trouble adapting to all this so I had to order another cord which took me about 4 months of looking for the old cord before I finally did this. So, the IPad slowly unwound it’s charge until it was dead. So, this is the first thing I’m doing on it.

But, here’s the thing. If you are going to blog on it I haven’t found a good way to quote stuff unless you are going to type out all the stuff yourselves. So, it is only useful (as far as I have found) to do typing but not quoting unless you are going to actually type out the quotes yourselves. You might be more advanced than I am so you can do anything with your IPads but I haven’t found that info yet if it even exists. So, most of my blogging is still going to be through a laptop, a 15 inch MacBook Pro that I bought in 2016.

I also have another MacBook Pro which still works fine from 2009 as well that I blogged from 2009 to 2016 on too. And it says something about how well designed a MacBook Pro is that even the 2009 model still works great if I want to use it for blogging still.
