what does it take to be a survivor in the era of Coronavirus?

First of all, I'm 72 and this is the worst thing to happen to the people of earth since I was born. Not even World War II and the Great Depression are worse than what is presently happening on earth and will be happening likely for 10 years or more now with what we know.

Who will be the survivors?

The first group of survivors are under 30 to 40 years of age who have excellent health and who will naturally survive even getting this virus.

The 2nd group of survivors are those wise enough not to ever get it in the first place who are over 30 to 40 years of age but who might have age or health issues or both.

But, if you are in the 2nd group, unless you are very disciplined you are likely to get the coronavirus at some point during the next 10 years time here on earth.

But, it is the numbers dying that I think people should be facing better. Even if you are only losing 700 to 1000 people daily here in the U.S. if this keeps happening just think about this for a moment. 1000 people a day over 1 year is 365,000 people which is a whole lot of people. If you then multiply this by 10 years this would be then 3,365,000 people. And the problem also might be it could also be like this worldwide and likely already is because most countries are NOT reporting even 1/3 to 1/2 of the actual number dying because in most countries most regular people are not even being tested for coronavirus at ANY point.

So, at this point I'm thinking we are going to lose (in reality) worldwide between 50 and 100 million people directly from coronavirus over the next 10 years or so. So, already we are dealing with more deaths from coronavirus than we ever did with AIDS.

To make all this even worse is what Dr. Fauci has said which is that even if we get a vaccine it might be only 70% to 75% effective. What Good is that?

As a 72 year old am I going to act any different than I am doing now sheltering in place with only a 70% effective Vaccine? No. Probably not. In order to go back to a more normal life I would want a vaccine that I thought was at least as effective as say a birth control pill which is around 98% effective at preventing conception.

So, let's break down the survivors once again.

First, you have the very young (under 30 to 40 years of age) who might be thinking right now, "Well. Everyone old is going to die and I'm going to live and I don't care if they all die."

And for many 18 to 25 year old people this might be realistically where they actually are. But, when people they love actually die because of their stupidity or immaturity they also might commit suicide knowing they are to blame for the deaths of those they love also.

So, even for the 15 to 25 year olds they might think: "I'm just going to live" (until they actually cause someone they love to die and then they might self destruct or suicide out within a few years.

So, even for the 15 to 25 year olds being responsible might be the only way they are going to survive all this too long term.

But, this being said, I was once 15 to 25 and my needs always seemed much more important than the needs of anyone else around me then too. So, I do understand this having once been 15 to 25 years old and dating a lot of girlfriends during that time which is one way now that coronavirus is going to spread too a lot.

So, there are the young responsible coronavirus survivors and then there are the older wiser coronavirus survivors and everyone else within 10 years is going to likely be dead or incapacitated from getting coronavirus worldwide.

So, to be realistic about all this I believe the U.S. likely will lose a minimum of 365,000 people during the next year (which in reality is about 3 times that much) because only the 365,000 will actually be tested.

So, I'm thinking the actual death toll in the U.S. will be 1 million or more by this time next year but the reported death toll on the news will only be 365,000.

So, I'm thinking we likely will lose 10 million people in reality in the next 10 years because like Fauci Said we won't achieve herd immunity because not enough people in this world will allow themselves to be vaccinated either here in the U.S. or around the world.

But, remember I'm saying 10 million in 10 years JUST in the U.S. because it will be much much worse in other countries than this even if the deaths are not reported and everyone is buried in mass graves to hide exactly how many actually died.

But, the hardest part of all this will likely be living with friends and loved ones who died through all of this and many will self destruct or suicide because they feel responsible in one way or another (whether this is true or not) worldwide during this time too for those deaths.

And then we will have to deal with the consequences of Food Supply chain disruptions caused by paranoia (real and imagined) from Coronavirus being everywhere now and into the future.

So, the actual consequences will also be for every coronavirus death there will be at least 10 starvation deaths worldwide too.

I'm thinking that up to 50% of the people on earth will either experience a loved one dying directly of coronavirus or watching a relative or friend die of starvation. And these 50% of the people during the next 10 years I would call the "Walking Wounded" caused directly or indirectly by coronavirus.

So, the world likely will change in completely unpredictable ways during the next 10 to 20 years directly caused by all the deaths and the consequences to the walking wounded who have lost someone to coronavirus or to starvation caused by the coronavirus worldwide.

This will create people being very different than anything we have seen at least in the lasts 100 years worldwide so we really have no memory of what this kind of thing will do to the world. We understand what World War I and the Great Depression and World War II and 9-11 did to the world but we are completely unprepared for what the coronavirus is now doing to the world long term.

I figure we will be trying to figure all this out the next 20 years just like we were trying to make sense of World War II and the Great Depression at least until 1960 here in the U.S. and around the world.

So, by 2040 we might have made enough sense of it to finally move on with our lives once again.

I have some sense of all this having been raised in the 1950s when everyone had PTSD from World war II and the great Depression then.

The next 20 years are going to be dealing with the PTSD in EVERYONE on earth caused by the coronavirus worldwide during at least the next 10 years time. This is just what we are facing right now as a world of coronavirus everywhere.
