People have been wondering how people were going to make a living when robotics reached this stage

Mostly people were kept working and companies didn't buy robots to replace them in places like Tyson foods (I personally have no idea what Tyson foods is actually doing. I'm using them of an example of a company hard hit by coronavirus that could easily replace line workers with robots). Mostly they didn't do this before now because of loyalty to employees and unions. But, coronavirus has changed all that. This is why Yang (Democratic presidential candidate) said that "They have done 10 years worth of changes in 10 weeks!" (regarding American companies trying to survive coronavirus.)

It's because when people started dying and getting sick from coronavirus companies still had to remain in business. How did they do that? They replaced all or most their line employees with robots when the employees either were taken out with coronavirus or enough people got scared and wouldn't work in those conditions anymore. A robot never gets sick from coronavirus and only needs to be repaired and maintained for the 2 or 3 years it should stay functional working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

There are robots now that can be trained just by watching a person do something and repeating what they see. Because of this and the fact that they will work doing that task (or another) for 2 to 3 years 24 hours a day without sick days or having babies and don't need to be paid or have health insurance paid for them. Because of this coronavirus just lost thousands to millions of vulnerable people who got coronavirus their jobs likely permanently.

You can't really blame people from trying to stay alive anyway they could. But, actually doing this cost them their jobs permanently.

The plan was ALWAYS to go with Robots and eliminat...
