So, it's possible that Thor's hammer from the Odin theology of the Norse and Viking Traditions could relate back to the sun and the plasma beings that live there.
Saying that plasma beings are lightning could be one way of putting it but that is only one way they might manifest on earth (as lightning). There are many other ways they might manifest on earth including looking like human beings and interacting with humans for a variety of reasons.
