Healing in Mt. Shasta

This is the most healing experience on all levels for me since Kauai and Maui last October 2019. There's something about being fairly remote in the forest on land. I used to own 2 1/2 acres around 10 or 15 miles from McCloud up on the mountain at around 4000 feet from about 1980 until 1989 when my family and I moved to Hawaii to avoid the Loma Prieta earthquake because I knew the week it was coming so we watched it on CNN live as it happened then in Fall of 1989 in Hana, Maui.

The world (at least in big cities and suburbia) has gone completely insane in various ways from the coronavirus. Out here in the country it can be crazy in Mt. Shasta because many people here are in denial and don't wear masks even though that might eventually kill them or their families. So, it's crazy but in a different way up here especially when I'm spending most of my time pretty remote from the world in a mountain cabin overlooking a meadow and surrounded by Pines and Port Orford Cedar trees which remind me a lot of Redwoods. Somehow cedars often have a similar vibe as redwood trees which makes it especially nice for me. Our friends the owners of the land are on the east coast for a month while we are here and my wife isn't worried about me dying anymore like she was the last 2 years since I had a pacemaker installed on June 2nd 2020. However, it is a very different experience that you have to get used to having a pacemaker. The biggest change for me is that it corrected my previous irregular heartbeat so I don't have an irregular heartbeat anymore. It also corrected one chamber of my heart not beating in time with the rest of my heart. So, likely for the first time in my life I have a really great heart beat and rhythm going 24 hours a day every day.

Just feeling the energy of the mountain and being here is really great and my wife is healing from not having to worry about me dying within a couple of years anymore which is nice too. So, we both are having a very peaceful healing experience after a couple of very difficult years. So, healing from our own problems and healing from the world's problems likely will keep us both alive for a very long time now.
