Luckily the smoke has mostly stayed away from Mt. Shasta

The smoke is mostly east of the Trinity range of mountains along the coast and over by Loyalton these last few weeks. We might get. a whiff of smoke at night here while we sleep with the skylight open but mostly we have been relatively smoke free. But, other parts of the state aren't so lucky and so many people likely are having breathing problems all of the state from breathing smoke from mostly brush fires state wide.

Friends of ours are telling us about ash coming down various places in the state because of lightning caused fires. When the monsoons came through bringing many many lightning strikes they started many fires up and down the state. Luckily, there was rain coming out of the clouds when the lightning strikes hit here so the rain put the fires out quickly. However, other parts of the state weren't as lucky as this area.
