I just realized I could have been taking this Beta Blocker the last 22 years so I'm pretty upset about it. Because it could have helped me if my doctor then had known about it. I took another beta blocker he gave me then but it completely medically lobotomized me while I was taking it for a week or so. My reaction to the other one was I wanted to commit suicide while taking it. However, I cannot remember the name of it now 20 years later. I even know a Catholic Nun who takes Metoprolol who is about 90 years old. So, this one actually works. But, just now I discovered it was approved in 1967 so I was quite upset I wasn't taking this one the last 20 years of my life since my heart virus I almost died of in 1998 and 1999.
Beta Blockers can prevent arrhythmias and they are difficult because if you get blood clotting from arrhythmias it could result in a stroke or heart attack. So, if you are having arrhythmias you need to be taking blood thinners so you don't have a stroke or heart attack or have blood clots stopping up your blood veins in various places in your body.
The other positive thing about Beta Blockers (if you can handle them) is that they tend to begin to rebuild your heart and lengthen your lives. But, at least I can take this one now and lengthen my life from here on.
