I have written a lot about being retired. However, being retired during the coronavirus is an entirely different thing completely.
I really worry about all the people who are living alone and retired because being too alone right now could be dangerous for many people here on earth.
Having a computer or smart phone or even a Cell phone right now is helpful so you can reach out to others during these times.
I find for me the coronavirus is just another survival challenge and since I was a mountain climber and surfer and skier and backpacker and like to ride off road motorcycles another challenge is just another way to get more good stories to tell my children and grandchildren and friends in the future.
In other words: anything that you can actually survive might make a good story or a good laugh at some point in the near or far future.
So, to me, coronavirus is just another challenge I'm trying to survive in my life and when I do I might want to talk or to write about what I went through because I'm a natural story teller like my father and Grandfather before me.
The thing I personally miss about these coronavirus times is that I don't feel safe in traveling anywhere right now even if it is only from the SF Bay area to Santa Barbara because of the number of cases right now everywhere and the fact that 3,054 people died just yesterday here in the U.S. (and that is ONLY the people who were tested that died not all the others) (which is up to 8 times more according to the CDC).
