Definition of "Darshan"

Note: Since I was in India and Nepal in 1985 and 1986 with my family I had always thought that the word Darshan meant "Blessing" which it does. But, what is interesting to me is that it has a more specific meaning than that which is being in the aura of a Holy person. There are many holy people in India and also in Nepal where time and space changes significantly. In Tibetan Buddhism they would call this blessing "The turning of the Dharma Wheel" because your time and space just got a lot better being near Holy people.

In other words your life now will be much better than it was before. This is just an accepted fact of life when you are near a holy person whether you speak to them or hear them speak or not.
