If you are 65 to 74 in California and retired

It's getting to the point where you actually might get a vaccination for Covid if you keep trying now. We got a call from Santa Barbara a couple of days ago for an appointment there but we were 4 to 5 hours away by car from there so we couldn't do it in time. But, the next day we got vaccination appointments within 3 hours by car of where we live.

The problem we have been running into is that farmworkers 65 to74 are a priority over people who are retired like us. Even though this makes complete sense because if you don't have anyone well and not in the hospital to pick your food it's hard to have food to eat. So, people who are retired in the county we are in still weren't getting vaccinations at least until they started for our group around march 3rd. But, we do have neighbors who are over 80 who got vaccinated about a month ago and one neighbor who is a retired nurse who got vaccinated recently too. My wife's best friend who lives north of San Francisco is getting vaccinated the day after we will too. So, if you are 65 to 74 in northern California near San Francisco now is the time to try to get an appointment if you are retired or even if you are not.
