In my county if you are in the wrong zip code you cannot get a vaccine now

If you are able to shelter in place and are not a farm worker or care giver of children right now in my county and are retired between the ages of 65 and 74, Good Luck! getting a vaccine because that just isn't going to happen. So, my wife has been spending up to 3 to 6 hours a day this last week trying to get us vaccinated and finally when something opened up it was in a county far to the North of us. But, when we got there we were the very oldest people there getting a vaccine. Most people were in that county between 16 and 60 years of age getting the vaccine now not people in our demographic which would be 65 to 74 retired.

So, we were very grateful even though we had to drive several hours to get there through traffic. But, they vaccinated us before our given times which allowed us to completely avoid heavy traffic getting back home which is great too.

My wife had some pain in the arm the shot was given coming back home and had a little trouble driving because of this so she just switched hands driving. I had driven about 3 hours of the journey so far up and part of the way back so we switched when we were within an hour or 2 of home and she drove the rest of the way back after stopping an in n Out burger along the way.

After I received the vaccine I realized I wasn't likely going to have a bad reaction so I was grateful for that. I could feel the MRNA moving from my arm through my body. I did have sort of a charley horse in my left leg trying to get out of my truck and trying to walk though. So, I eventually got into the hot tub to soak it away. So, I'm not sure if it was the 5 or more hours driving total today to get vaccinated and it was the vaccination or if it was sitting in the truck driving so much or both. Anyway, Now I'm soaking in the hot tub and soaking the problems of the day away too trying to make all this work for my wife and I.

The high today where I live was only 57 degrees and when we were in the BAy area cities it was at most about 62 degrees in the bigger cities but heading south on 280 it soon dropped back to around 52 degrees most of the way home to the coast.

But, the lows where I live right now are around 47 degrees. So, this makes sense to me why there can be snow now in the mountains around us because as you gain altitude in the mountains the temperatures can drop a lot especially during the nights nearby. And since most of the rain has been a night the last couple of nights this is why we still have snow in the mountains nearby From San Jose north and in the Santa Lucias near Big Sur and all over the place up above 2000 to 3000 feet. And it's cold enough right now and cloudy enough for most of it not to melt off anytime soon as well. Very unusual! Especially for March of any year.
