People of earth was actually more believable than Resident Alien for a variety of reasons.
Especially the parts about the abductee groups trying to make their lives work after being abducted.
But, from what I understand about how the galaxy actually works the Earth would be sort of like if the Hawaiian Islands were a Earth National park called Hawaii where everyone around the galaxy wants to visit this park for much the same reason people want to visit Disneyland and Disney world and Disney parks around the world.
Earth is a very quaint and backward place. WE are NOT a real threat to the galaxy anymore than deer in Yosemite national Park are a threat to the United Nations (if you know what I mean by this).
First you have millions and millions of years of evolution both physically and culturally on thousands to millions of planets. So, any mistake we are making here has already been made by cultures for millions of years already and they have safeguards in place so humans don't extinct all life on earth and coronavirus might be one of those safeguards put here to thin us out now, for example.
So, no, "Resident Alien" isn't believable with what i PRESENTLY KNOW about the Galactic Government. However, I do find it very entertaining and really funny sometimes like I did "People of Earth".
