Arcane looked out the window from his home on the ocean near San Francisco and thought about the Covid outbreak of the last maybe a year and a half to 2 years now starting in China. He wondered how far this all was going to go?
Though he often traveled time most of the time he wasn't supposed to go into the future but rather travel in the present and the past unless he went 100 or more years into the future. This way he was less likely to cause problems with the timeline. So, I guess you could say he mostly traveled sideways through time or going back in time unless he was going 100 or more years into the present in order to more carefully protect the time line from harm.
So, at this point he didn't really know the full outcome of where Covid was actually going to go at this point.
HE sat there looking at the trees blow in the wind and wondered what was actually going to happen now. Kabul had just fallen to the Taliban which I suppose could have been somewhat predicted by anyone who knew the history of Afghanistan by anyone who had studied it. When the Americans withdrew the corrupt government that they had propped up was bound to collapse. But, most people in the western world thought it would last longer than this.
Biden appeared to be resigned to this outcome much like Trump was resigned to the Kurds getting a raw deal too when the Americans withdrew from Iraq mostly. At some point foreign interventions have to end whether it is the "Charge of the Light Brigade" with the British back in history or whether it was the Americans withdrawing from Saigon or Kabul or Iraq.

Born in 1809, Alfred Lord Tennyson is one of the most well-loved Victorian poets.
The Charge of the Light Brigade
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!" he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!"
Was there a man dismay’d?
Not tho’ the soldier knew
Some one had blunder’d:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley’d and thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.
Flash’d all their sabres bare,
Flash’d as they turn’d in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
All the world wonder’d:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro’ the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reel’d from the sabre-stroke
Shatter’d and sunder’d.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volley’d and thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro’ the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wonder’d.
Honor the charge they made!
Honor the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!

His Oneness: "The world is going through something I never really expected to see. The Galactic Sentience said this was coming for Earth but on one level or another I couldn't really believe it. It's sort of like 9-11 or other events like that, like the fall of Saigon and the fall of the South Viet Nam government then. There are just some things you have to see to believe.
Arcane: "What do you think is going to happen in Afghanistan now?
His Oneness: "Given all present variables probably what happened to the Caliphate in Iraq will now happen to the Caliphate in Afghanistan. But, don't quote me on this."
Arcane: "Can't you look forward in time and see?"
His Oneness: "Only if indications are such that I'm forced to to save the planet from one kind of destruction or another. Otherwise, I'm supposed to let things unfold as they do up to a certain point."
Arcane: "So, you have strict rules like I do regarding say the next 100 years of time?"
His Oneness: "Actually. I'm not supposed to see the next 1000 years of time for a variety of reasons unless certain variables occur in sequence which indicates I have to change things a lot in time lines."
Arcane: "So, it's sort of all or nothing?"
His Oneness: "Yes. IT's sort of like that. Unless something pretty catastrophic for earth is taking place or going to take place I leave most things the way they are. It's sort of like that but not exactly. There are always exceptions."
Arcane: "I really needed to talk to someone who understands what you do today, Your Oneness."
His Oneness: "This is helpful for me too, Arcane."
Arcane: "Good."
His Oneness: "Would you like to share a meal with me?"
Arcane: "Sounds Good Your Oneness."
They both smiled.
