Everything Coming to Netflix in August 2021

The pulse-pounding Spanish crime drama “Money Heist” (“La Casa de Papel”) kicks off the first part of its final season Sept. 3; Volume 2 is expected in the coming months. The supernatural crime drama “Lucifer” (Sept. 10) is also back for its final season; the British high-school dramedy “Sex Education” (Sept. 17) returns for its third season; and the college drama “Dear White People” (Sept. 22) concludes with its fourth season, which plays out as a musical set in the ’90s.

On the reality front, Netflix has Season 3 of “The Circle” (Sept. 8, with new episodes weekly), Season 6 of the baking-fail show “Nailed It!” (Sept. 15), the international spinoff “Too Hot to Handle Latino” (Sept. 15), and Season 2 of the autism relationship show “Love on the Spectrum” (Sept. 21).

A number of fresh originals will also debut, including “Q-Force” (Sept. 2), an animated comedy from Mike Schur and Sean Haye about a team of LGBTQ super-spies; Julie Delpy’s “On the Verge” (Sept. 7), a comedy series about four women in Los Angeles having mid-life crises; “Kate” (Sept. 10), an action movie starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead as an assassin who’s been poisoned and has 24 hours to find out who did it and find the antidote; a kid-friendly new version of “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” (Sept. 16), not to be confused with Kevin Smith’s grownup version; and “Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space” (Sept. 6, with new episodes weekly), a near-realtime docuseries about September’s all-civilian space launch and mission aboard a SpaceX capsule. Netflix is also adding all nine seasons of “Saved by the Bell” (Sept. 15).

Among notable departures, it’s your last chance to watch “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” all three seasons of “Penny Dreadful” and “Boogie Night” before they leave.
