Experts think that there are 1 million cases of coronavirus a day instead of 100,000 right now

Friends are telling me of super spreader events that they almost were at lately where many many people came down with the Delta Virus and experts are saying that because of the fact that only about 1 case in the U.S. is tested for every 8 cases that actually happen (according to the CDC) that it is likely closer to 1 million covid cases a day in the U.S. right now. So, when it reaches 200,000 cases a day it likely will mean it is 2 million getting infected every day then likely by the end of August or Early September or sooner.

My friend was telling me that almost everyone in India got Covid when it was bad there already and we might be experiencing the same thing here in the U.S. for everyone not vaccinated now too. Does this give us herd immunity?

Possibly to the delta variant but not any other variants that are quickly coming down the pipeline from the very sick worldwide.
