How does all this work?
I cannot reveal everything because I'm not supposed to know all the details anyway. But, I can share what I'm allowed to write about.
Basically, from my point of view at least, the Earth is a Galactic national park of the Galactic Government much like Yosemite national park and Yellowstone national Park are two of America's National Parks.
The humans of earth are viewed a little like the deer in Yellowstone and Yosemite national park. So, if they aren't thinned out enough then they are allowed to be thinned out by diseases (like the pandemic) or Global Warming as a way to restore ecological balance long term for the earth.
Humans are not directly exterminated ever simply because this isn't humane. However, in order to restore ecological balance many things are allowed to happen to restore the ecological balance to earth over time slowly.
So, I guess what I'm saying to you is that ecological balance will slowly be restored to earth in the coming centuries. However, the new ecology likely will be different than anything humans have seen in thousands of years.
If I were to take a guess at what happens next (and I could be wrong here) it would be that humans will naturally reduce down to around 1/2 of the present population on earth by 2050 and then on down to around 1 billion or less by 2100 AD. What happens after that is anyone's guess.
However, what's important to know is that earth will survive ecologically and so will some humans too ongoing. The question to me is whether cultures and technology will survive the next few hundred years or not.
So, to me, having cultures and technology survive might be important to work on during the rest of this century especially. Because the ecology will survive even though it doesn't look like anything any of us have seen before into some kind of new ecological balance.
