As of 10 am PDT the Atmospheric River side to side is Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo and the river goes then to Idaho and Montana

So, what is amazing to me is that the whole state is getting wet with this rain. This is the most remarkable thing about this rain to me. It has hit from Eureka and will go at least as far south as San Diego which I find particularly amazing because storms (at least lately) the last 10 years or so don't ordinarily do this anymore like they used to. Before 20 years ago storms were very different and much more plentiful. But, since at least the year 2000 everything has changed because of Global Warming and global Climate changes. As I write here the rain is coming down ongoing like Cats and Dogs out of the sky.

And snow levels are rising quickly in this storm throughout the Sierras too which is good for the state's long term water supply as long as the snow doesn't melt too soon.
