It started raining in Santa Barbara about 6 or 7 am this morning: Monday October 25th 2021

The way all this is working is the Atmospheric river appears on video weather maps to be slowly moving south. So, the "Hose of water from thousands of miles across the Pacific Ocean from the vicinity of China is slowly pointing it's "Fire Hose" starting in San Francisco and North and has now come down as far as Santa Barbara, Ventura and Oxnard so far. And likely will hose Los Angeles and San Diego with in a few hours too. So, the most remarkable thing is the whole state likely will get "Hosed" by this remarkable Atmospheric River.

But, there have been many many evacuations, especially around burn scars and flooded and flooding areas so far too. Places like Mount Tamalpais got 11 inches of Rain which is a lot in any 24 hour period for anywhere on earth and even down town San Francisco got over 4 inches of Rain to show you just how much water this Bomb Cyclone and Atmospheric River is dumping on everyone.

It reminds me of the "Feast or Famine" statement in regard to water here in California. It has been a terrible water famine and now it is a feast and a flood and a debris flow all at once all over the state, especially near burn areas. As I write this it is raining cats and dogs outside here in Santa Barbara.
