I agree with Bill Gates about this being the worst part of the pandemic so far:

It's not about deaths from Omicron at this point. It's about so many people getting it that society itself begins to temporarily break down. I think you are going to see the National Guard being called up in all 50 states eventually, so literally anyone able bodied and not sick will be needed for society and civilization itself worldwide to survive the next 6 months time.

This is what I believe we are facing now, not death, but not enough people being well enough to work worldwide in civilizations around the world.

When you are getting 1 million cases a day (in the U.S.) societies are going to basically shut down without enough able bodied people to continue to work without infecting literally every other worker worldwide.
