What is an EMP? IT is an Electro Magnetic Pulse

EMPs were first discovered while the U.S. was testing nuclear weapons in Nevada during World War II before they dropped A- Bombs from planes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan which ended World war II.

If you have watched "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull(2008) you witnessed a town being blown up and Indiana Jones surviving by getting into an old refrigerator to escape the radiation. Well. In this type of scenario they also discovered EMPs which melt everything electrical in a test city like they showed in the movie.

(Even though no human being could likely survive by doing what he did in this movie, the town itself of the sort shown in the movie is factual).

So, though the easiest way to generate an EMP is through a small nuclear weapon there are many other ways to do this as well.

For example, if Russia didn't want to lose any soldiers or airmen at all, they would send a missile with an EMP generator over Kyiv and set off the EMP about 5 or 10 miles above the city which would cause all the Electrical transformers in the city to explode like large hand grenades, and it would cause all computers to permanently stop working, and everything electronic in the city to fry and never work again including the electrical systems of all vehicles. However, all buildings and other mechanical infrastructure outside of everything electrical would remain intact and undamaged.

If Russia was trying to reduce the loss of life of Ukrainian civilians in Kyiv they would set this EMP off at an hour of somewhere between 1 to 2 AM and 4 to 5 AM when most people are in bed asleep.

Why?

This would significantly reduce loss of life from the EMP.

Because at other times of the day people are driving cars and trucks and near things like refrigerators or toasters because being within 12 feet of anything metal could be fatal for anyone in Kyiv if the Russians did this. When the EMP hit lightning bolts could come off of anything metal especially large metal things like cars, trucks, refrigerators, metal railings etc. and kill anyone or any living thing near these things wherever the EMP was the strongest.

The reason I'm thinking this way is that Putin doesn't want Russian Body bags full of Russian soldiers returning home because this could eventually be either fatal for him or cause him to be removed from power suddenly.

So, this is a way where no Russian soldiers might die at all in taking over the government of Ukraine in Kyiv.

After the Electromagnetic pulse occurred, especially if it was happening between 1 AM and 5 AM at night when everyone is asleep, from 50 to 200 miles away Russian Attack helicopters would fly to Kyiv immediately and quickly and easily take over the city. Why?

Because all command and control in Kyiv, all missiles there would not work from the EMP. All electrical systems in shoulder fired anti-tank weapons would not work, any electronic or electrical parts of any weapons system would be permanently dysfunctional and non-operational. So, a change of government would be a relatively easy thing for the Russians to do at this point just using helicopters (who would not be affected by the EMP at all because they were too far away when it went off.

You see, the problem with parking tanks on the borders of Ukraine is that it is not 1941 in Europe. It is not Hitler with Panzer Tanks waiting to invade other countries. So, the tanks are mostly psychological and not actually likely going to be used maybe at all. It is all smoke and mirrors likely to have them there on the borders of Ukraine.

No. Putin lives in 2022 not 1941. The tanks are there for show likely only because they are all vulnerable to shoulder fired Anti-tank missiles sent by the U.S. and other nations to Ukraine.

So, unless Putin wants unlimited body bags of Russian Soldiers in tanks killed by shoulder fired anti-tank weapons he is going to likely do something else like I shared here with you instead.

Most military strategists realize that the tanks are mostly for show (at least at this point).

But, everything in Kyiv electrical would have exploded like electrical transformers on power lines and telephone poles and all vehicles and computers would be permanently dysfunctional.

However, this is what Putin could do to prevent major loss of life of Russian soldiers while overthrowing the Ukrainian government during the night. So, it's something to be aware of.
